Spend a balmy evening show-hopping through the magical Garden of Unearthly Delights, find hidden local gems in the suburbs and see your favourite acts touring the regions.

An elegant night at the opera, rubbing shoulders with your favourite author, dancing to Aussie rock’n’roll royalty, contemporary theatre and Shakespeare as you haven’t heard it before – the Adelaide Festival has it all. Experience world-class local, national and global performances right here in our own backyard.

All British Day

Echunga, Adelaide Hills

I say, old chap! The theme for this year’s event is 1950s. Motoring enthusiasts will be chuffed to have a gander at British saloons, sports cars, motorcycles and trucks from the fabulous ’50s alongside other vintage vehicles. Think suave Austin-Healey 3000 convertibles, powerful early Ford V8s and diminutive Morris Minors.

8–9 March

Adelaide Motorsport Festival

Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi

Live life in the fast lane at Adelaide’s automotive ‘museum in motion’ festival. There’s non-stop action on the sprint track, prototypes of the future in the E-Motion Zone, and simulators and remote-control races for junior fans. For an adrenaline rush, join the Repco Circuit Safari bus riding alongside and up-close to dizzyingly fast track cars.

Sister Act

Festival Theatre

Get back in the ‘habit’ of a fun night out at the theatre. Starring Casey Donovan as Deloris, Genevieve Lemon as Mother Superior and Rhonda Burchmore as Sister Mary Lazarus, your spirits will be lifted to the rafters. They’ll perform musical numbers written for the stage show, which are sure to become your favourites.

SA Autumn Garden Festival

Clare Showgrounds

Are your plants’ leaves turning brown because it’s autumn or because you’ve overwatered and killed them with kindness? If you’re looking for gardening advice, head along to the SA Autumn Garden Festival and hear from some of Australia’s top green thumbs. While you’re there, don’t forget to stock up on the latest plants and accessories, and get your hands dirty with free workshops and demonstrations.

SALT Festival

Southern Eyre Peninsula

Set among rugged national parks, high-energy coastlines and dreamy azure shallows, this festival offers a program as diverse as its surroundings. The family-friendly event is a celebration of art, innovation and creativity, with a focus on sustainability. Attend interactive performances, tours, workshops and conferences.

Tasting Australia

Food, glorious food. Tasting Australia takes the cake with mouth-watering dishes, award-winning beverages and hands-on workshops so you can learn to cook like the masters. You’ll be keen as mustard to check out the program, which includes events in the city and regions to whet even the pickiest of tastes.

DreamBIG Children's Festival

Let your little one’s imagination run wild during the world’s longest-running children’s festival. From much-loved fairytales reimagined for the stage to creative workshops exploring the world of broadcasting, there’s something for children of all ages. When you dream big, the sky’s the limit.

8–10 May

Flight

Her Majesty's Theatre

Find your seats and get ready for take-off with State Opera South Australia, as Flight descends into Adelaide for the first time in almost 20 years. Set in an airport terminal when a storm grounds flights, this heartwarming opera explores the essence of humanity through interactions between passengers, crew and staff.
