Santa and his elves have been hard at work getting Santa’s Wonderland ready and bringing the magic of Christmas to life. You’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re at the North Pole, with plenty of festive cheer and activities for kids of all ages. Go ice skating, take a train ride, follow the fun Christmas activity trail, and even meet Santa. Jingle all the way to the Adelaide Showground and celebrate the silly season.

The 60 Four: Christmas Proms

What do you get when you combine The Beatles and London’s famous Albert Hall Christmas Proms? A one night-only concert by Australia’s very own fab four as they add their signature ’60s and ’70s twist to the festive season.

7–8 December

Vegan Festival Adelaide

Rundle Park/Kadlitpina

If you’re vegan, v-curious or just want to learn how to make veggies taste more appealing, this family and pet-friendly event is for you. Hear guest speakers, check out cooking demos and workshops, listen to live music, peruse market stalls and taste delicious food and drink.

Dan Sultan and the ASO

Festival Theatre

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his third studio album Blackbird, singer-songwriter Dan Sultan is teaming up with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy music from this Australian rock album with its powerhouse riffs, cracking gospel interludes, soul jams and country tones.

Carols by Candlelight

Elder Park

Christmas is the air. Get into the festive spirit at the 80th St John Carols by Candlelight. Sing along to all your favourite carols and Christmas songs with a star-studded line-up that includes Dami Im, family-favourite Emma Memma, Adelaide’s own Gospo Collective and more. Entry is free.

9-25 January

Peter and the Starcatcher

Dunstan Playhouse

The smash-hit Broadway production is flying into Adelaide this January. Starring Peter Helliar, Alison Whyte, Colin Lane and Paul Capsis, this prequel to Peter Pan is a spectacular and fantastical adventure the whole family will enjoy.

Santos Tour Down Under

Don’t miss the exhilarating Santos Tour Down Under that’ll launch the 2025 international cycling season. While the pros race for the ochre jersey, you can be part of the festivities along the race route. Visit the tour village to enjoy the celebrations, line the streets to watch the competitors or don the Lycra and follow the cyclists.

2025 Australian Sprintcar Championship

Murray Bridge Speedway

Start your engines because the Australian Sprintcar Championship is coming to town. Witness the thrilling action of Australia’s best winged sprintcar drivers as they battle it out on the Murray Bridge speedway dirt track.

8 February

Robe Run 2025

Various locations

The hills are alive with the sound of souped-up engines and spectators cheering. From dedicated spectator zones, enjoy all the exhilarating action, live music and good food. The event wraps up with the Gouger Street Party in the CBD.

22–23 February

Chilli Fest

Willunga Recreation Park

Willunga is heating up for two days filled with cooking demonstrations, market stalls and of course, chilli-eating competitions. Once it gets a little spicy for you, kick back in the beer garden with a cooling beverage and chill listening to local live music.
