A word from our CEO

It's election time and we want to make your voice heard in this year's election.

Our Growth without Gridlock election platform is straightforward: South Australia's population is climbing towards two million. We have a housing crisis; governments at all levels are trying to keep up, developers are investing in new estates, but infrastructure has been left behind.

Without coordinated investment in roads, rail and other services, we risk losing what makes our state special – its liveability.

We've put forward a clear plan: expand rail services and future-proof road networks in high-growth areas north and south of Adelaide and in the Hills. We're tracking how political parties respond and keeping you informed, so you can make decisions based on what matters to your daily life. You can read more about our election priorities for South Australia in this edition here.

While we're advocating at a policy level, we're also delivering direct support where members need it most.

We know cost of living is still hitting hard. While we can't control inflation or interest rates, we can use our scale as South Australia's largest member organisation to negotiate discounts that make a difference to your household budget.

We've launched a 10 cent per litre fuel discount with a range of providers at locations across the state, plus an exciting new partnership with SA's own Drakes Supermarkets with five per cent off most products.

You can access these savings by scanning your RAA card at the checkout, and there's more to come. For families doing the weekly shop and filling up regularly, this could help put hundreds of dollars back in your pocket each year.

Beyond immediate cost-of-living relief, we're investing in programs that strengthen the communities we live in and help save lives on our roads.

We've established a $5 million Community Impact Fund to channel support across vital community programs, resources and initiatives, with a strong focus on road safety.

The CFS Foundation was one of the first beneficiaries, receiving support for their Road Crash Rescue Training Program. We're also backing the Royal Flying Doctor Service, who provide on-ground and in-air support for road crash victims across our state.

This advocacy and commitment to giving back is in our DNA. We're a mutual. We don't answer to shareholders or chase profits. When we make decisions, we always ask one vital question, is this good for our members and our community?

Your membership makes this possible. You're part of an organisation that fights for better outcomes at every level, from the roads you drive on to the emergency services that keep us safe. This year, like every year, we will be listening to members, advocating for what matters and delivering value that extends well beyond any single interaction.
