A word from our CEO
“We’re providing members with a fair and transparent energy plan they can trust.”
I'm pleased to report, after a few challenging years, RAA had a strong 2023–24 financial year, bouncing back with a profit of $2.1 million after tax.

There are a few achievements I’m particularly proud of.
We grew our membership to more than 823,000 South Australians and insured more of your important possessions than ever before – about 656,000 homes, cars, caravans and boats.
RAA Travel continued to boom, with sales growing by 37 per cent as we sent more than 45,000 travellers on holiday.
On the road, we took more than 911,000 calls for assistance and our amazing patrols travelled a staggering two million kilometres to keep our members moving.
Trev the bee made a splash, helping to strengthen our position as South Australia’s leading brand. You’ll see a lot of Trev this year in his quest to let everyone know why it’s better to be a member of RAA.
One of those reasons is the $53.4 million in loyalty discounts and savings we generated for members last financial year. We want to help you save even more this year.
We’ve relaunched our member program, RAA Rewards, with free access to savings on everything from groceries, fuel, restaurants, movie tickets, health insurance and much more.
We’ve also taken a big step, helping members save on their home energy, one of the biggest costs facing households. We’re launching RAA Energy because we know most South Australians are paying more than they should for electricity.
We’re providing members with a fair and transparent energy plan they can trust.
Last financial year, we also installed 710 home energy systems, including more than 250 home batteries, to help members reduce their energy bills.
We know insurance premiums are another pain point for members. Rising reinsurance costs, global supply chain issues, local skills shortages and more frequent and extreme weather events have hurt the industry and are presenting more challenges than ever before.
As a local insurer, RAA continues to look for ways to reduce the risk posed by these challenges to our members and our long-term financial security.
It is vitally important that we continue to provide the greatest value cover to our members, as we’ve done for more than 100 years.
I’m excited about what’s ahead and look forward to updating you throughout 2025 on more ways we plan to deliver on our promise to make life better for our members and better for our community.
